CareFlight and OSG in partnership of survival

Since 1986 CareFlight has provided one of the world's most advanced and medically proficient rapid-response emergency helicopter and medical retrieval services.

Many of CareFlight's missions involve rescue or treatment of people in remote areas or inaccessible locations.  In these instances SCAT paramedics are winched into the site and often forced to spend the night with patients due to failing light or poor weather conditions that may prevent immediate extraction.  Paramedics have said when conditions are at their worst you can count on a warming fire to raise the spirit, morale and body temperature of the sick and injured.  For these reasons, CareFlight's SCAT paramedics understand the benefits of a failsafe firestarting mechanism.

CareFlight's SCAT paramedics were in search of alternate fire starting options to add to their overnight bush packs that are used in the care and survival of patients in remote areas.  After careful review, CareFlight's SCAT paramedics selected the patented Strike Force Firestarter.

OSG were proud to support CareFlight by supplying their experienced team of paramedics with Strike Force Fire Starters, which are an exceptional all-weather fire starting system. The system combines in one compact, light-weight, durable package a special alloy flint bar, hardened steel striker, and revolutionary Wet Fire Tinder.

The Strike Force Firestarter has been proven in CareFlight operations and has become an essential tool that should be in the pocket of everyone who ventures outdoors.
